TMQ returns to ESPN.com, makes it so again: Yes!

Not that BuckBokai worships the computer screen upon which his words float or anything, but Gregg Easterbrook, a.k.a. TMQ on ESPN.com, is definitely a role model.

With the demise of many of the American space-faring science-fiction television shows TMQ had routinely touched upon in columns past now a thing of the past – though can’t someone throw a couple of DVD boxed sets of Doctor Who, now perfectly viewable in the United States as well, at the man? – the references to the televisually fantastical have been minimal.

"So you see, by blitzing only five, we can reduce the possibility of the long strike against our secondary."

However, this week’s TMQ column is again a beaut. After referencing the amazing Red Foxes of Ukraine performing at the 2010 FIBA World Championship and presenting his unique breed of haiku (renku, actually, BuckBokai believes), TMQ closes the captain’s log with:

Next week: The NFL artificial universe resumes. Mr. Data, make it so!

Note: During the preseason, TMQ uses “vanilla” items designed to confuse scouts from other sports columns. Beginning next week, I will come at readers from all directions with multiple-adjective sets and unorthodox grammatical structures.

Ah, maybe the only thing BuckBokai misses in the summer more than NFL football, “Tuesday Morning Quarterback,” is back! Life is good. (To prove it, here are the Foxes getting down to unofficial Team Turkey theme “Oniki Dev Adam.”
